About Grace Bible Church

Who are we?

We are a friendly, warm-hearted Church made up of local people from various backgrounds and experiences, some of whom never previously attended a Church, and some of whom come from a variety of Churches across the denominational spectrum. However, we have one great thing in common: we have come to realise that Jesus Christ is alive and that He desires to impart not religion, but real peace in our hearts through a tangible relationship with Himself.

What do we believe?

Grace

When the Bible speaks of grace, it indicates something that is a free gift from God and we believe God's love in the form of his Son and the peace that results from what His Son has achieved for us is the greatest gift a man or woman can ever receive.

Bible

We hold to a very traditional view of the Bible and our services reflect this. We believe, as a traditional Baptist Church, that this book is unique and inspired by God and is amazingly encouraging and practical. It has a word of hope no matter what our situation in life may be. We believe God has the answers.

Church

This word simply means a gathering of people who actually worship Christ and seek to live a life of love following Him. We are affiliated to a large national body called the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches. This is not a denomination but rather an affiliation of local Churches, many of which are in our vicinity, most of which are run by local people, for the people, and with the support of local people. In our case the new Church building was also funded by the people. Therefore it would be fair to say it is the people's Church!

How to find us

We are located in the village of Saltford, between Bristol and Bath. The Church building is situated on Norman Road, just off of the main A4 Bath Road.
